T1Y2 : Week 1- The introduction of 7539QCA Design research method & Master of design project I
Let’s having fun with master design project
In middle of July we have turned back to the class of master of design which is Trimester 1 in year 2. During this trimester i have enrolled 2 courses.

By the way, the master design project there are no class for this course but we need to focus of our interested research topic and we are assigned to create a thesis book (10,000 words count).
Let’s make a decision for a research topic ! (Design proposal) !
Before we heading foward to design something, let’s look back “what you are interesting and fall in love with it”. So when i recongnised what a design which i familiar with and interesting with i realised that when i was a little kid, i was raised by my grandmother. At that time i see that when she getting older she got more illusness and stress. Then i imagine that being an elderly person there will be need more common things than others.
So i decided to choose a topic about “Aging design”
with in this reason
- The higher number og elderly population
- There will be more needs for elderly people in the future
- Needs to support both of mental and physical health

My research topic is related on prototyping method which is design prototyping based on research. During the first meet i’ve introduced my research topic and my back ground as well. we only have 30 minutes for the first meeting and i got so many ideas while we having a conservation. For the next week i should concern about
- Research question
- Position of design
- Criteria of design
- Case studies
Lastly, i feel really excited to start the project that i am interesting, when i was young i was dreaming about to have my own product. By now it’s getting closer and closer. What’s ever it’s take i will be and try my best.
